Rhiannon Weller is re-evaluating her life. At forty-five, her children are grown and her Seattle medical practice successful. However, her marriage is lacking in the romance and adventure which she desires. One day she goes to a movie matinee to escape the tedium of her life. During the trailers she falls in love with actor Michael Richmond.
Michael is twenty years her junior. From his home in London, Michael is working to shed the stigma of being a former child star. He wants nothing more than to be taken seriously in his chosen profession. He is pursued by screaming teenage fans and anorexic models, but he finds himself longing for freedom from his very public life.
For twenty-five years they carry a secret love affair, traveling the world in pursuit of adventure and freedom. Their love survives long separations, the disapproval of family and colleagues,and the passage of time. But is Michael's love strong enough to survive Rhiannon's last great adventure.
